The Bear, The Heir, & The Maiden Fair

House Savil

Kellen & silver tongued Flynn plotted themselves into House Savil by offering to join the Targaryan crusaders. They posed as applicants, along with Flick, and managed to step into Savil’s stronghold. They were shown rooms, and made weaponless. Flynn told Savil about the party, and suggested they were suspicious characters to be apprehended. The Deception worked, and the army soon found and rounded up the rest of the party members, to their shock. Lewyn almost fought the entire army then and there.

Savil knew who Alix Maple was, although he was not familiar to the rest of the party, and had plotted with, and without, Maple’s nemesis, Rosoy Risle, to bring Maple to a possible death. However, Alix offered his service to Savil, in the promise that he would release Mason Teamus, if he had him captive. Savil entertained the notion for some time, and agreed to the deal, despite Alix Maple lacking any persuasiveness.

In the meantime, Fiona was brought to Savil’s room, and failed to be seduced by the half-mad dragon supporter. Lewyn found that Sylva Santagar was also being held captive, and worked vainly to free her, as she was heir to a banner lord in Dorne. Erick worked hard to keep Lewyn in check many times while in Savil’s presence.

Rosoy Risle, as part of the deal with Savil, was fed to Rhaena, Savil’s trained war bear, beneath the great hall’s floors. Alix Maple then swore servitude.

During all of this excitement, Flynn had poisoned the barrels of wine with Blood Dust, and expected House Savil to suffer the consequences. They did, but to a greater degree than it might have been if Alix Maple did not drink the same cup. He slew 1/3 of the Crusaders that night, and several of the rebel lords who fled to Savil’s banner also killed themselves, or each other, before being restrained by the house guard. Savil himself ended up in his own well just outside the main hall, but still alive.

The party escaped with Mason, and freed Flick’s father from the bunker outside the castle. They made it back to Captain Jack’s ship and sailed back to Seagard and Nicodemus two days later, where the party will meet up to discuss further actions.

Day 96 - Dragon Tyde

The party entered Seagard, discovering the three quays (Fisherman’s Quay, the Hunter’s Quay, and the Merchant’s Quay) and gathered supplies. They called upon Nicodemus, who owed them his life, and received from him passage to Blacktyde Island. They ran into Hayes Hunter in the process, and a young artist. They also hired 4 men to help them in their endeavors. Gemma, an old hedge knight, Flick and Sunc, two sellswords (Flick has an especially high disregard for House Savil), and Tawn To, a banished Dothraki sellsword.

The next day they set out for a 2 day journey to the northwest corner of BlackTyde island. There they set up camp, and scouted some of Savil’s castle. Kellen and Flynn did some dangerous recon, and Kellen killed a warden in a small jail bunker outside the castle. He found three old men who seem to have been captives for awhile, but left them there to fend for themselves.

We join the party that evening, several hundred yards down the coast of Savil’s castle…

Day 90 - Into Uncharted Waters

The party woke that morning and decided to investigate the mount of dirt and rock to the northeast. They approached and found a lightly guarded mine. They quickly fought their way in, and released some slaves. They then found Oswyn the Thrice Hanged and his gang, and quickly engaged them in battle. With the help of some slaves, they fought the bandits, but the battle was interrupted when Alix Maple was disarmed. After a brief exchange, they decided to go with an idea proposed by Erick, which was mutual to both parties. Continuing on with their search for Mason, they found the bodies of three men sent to waylay them, with a note pinned to one of them addressed to W. It told how Mason was the prisoner of Savil, whose house was on Blacktyde Island.

Instead of pursuing them on the sea, they decided to head back to Seagard and provision themselves before heading out to Blacktyde island.

Day 82 - Picking Up the Pieces

After the fires are put out in Edgeguard, the party leaves Lewyn’s army in the care of Rickard Karstark. They set out, based on a letter from Iris Latneau, to pursue what they assume to be Mason’s captors. Along the way, they are aided at an inn at Torrhen’s Square by the Tallhart’s intelligence agents, who seems to keep lawlessness out of his lands with great skill.

The party is directed to another inn to the south, just north of The Neck, where it seems a violent scuffle took place involving several individuals. While investigating the inn, they find a talisman which depicts an unknown house sigil.

The party is able to track the murderer’s hasty exit through the swamp, where the party was greatly injured by a nest of mating lizard-lions. All the while, the party finds cards from a Teamus deck, in their minds proving that they are on the right track.

After meeting with a crannogman, who led them safely out of the swamp, the party continues on and finds a cave which housed Greyjoy pirates and longships at one time, or so they assume. A large ruby was found in the cave.

They continued on and found a trail leading north, which they ignored, but rounding up a hill, they notice that path lead to a large rocky hill. The party is spending the night until they can decide what they wish to do the next morning.
